2000 Nemuro Workshop

International Workshop to Develop a Prototype Lower Trophic Level Ecosystem Model for Comparison of Different Marine Ecosystems in the North Pacific

In 2000, MODEL held their first workshop in Nemuro Japan to build a lower trophic level (LTL) model of the marine ecosystem. Named NEMURO, the North Pacific Ecosystem Model for Understanding Regional Oceanography, it was named after the city that hosted us. Since 2000 NEMURO has become the de facto LTL model used by PICES to examine questions concerning the effect of climate change on marine ecosystems.

The files presented here are copies of the model code, data files and output that were generated at the meeting. Full details of the workshop and detailed documentation of the model can be found in the workshop report.
