GENERAL INFORMATION

Valid passports are required. Entry visas may be necessary depending on participant's nationality. Please refer to the web site below.

Within the PICES member countries, Russian and Chinese participants are needed to obtain business visa.

Deadline for invitation letter request:
Please note that because it takes time to get an official government-issued invitation letter and to deliver the original hardcopy to the applicant, new requests for letters will no longer be accepted after September 8th. Please send your request form to
Mr. Katsutoshi Yoshida (Also send a copy (cc:) to : pices-2012@fra.affrc.go.jp) as soon as possible before that date, even if your travel arrangements are not finalized.

Steps:

1	Apply for an invitation letter (send FORM and photo to Katsutoshi Yoshida); Processing takes 2-3 weeks
2	Apply for Visa Processing time varies

1. APPLY FOR AN INVITATION LETTER

Fill out the REQUEST FORM FOR AN INVITATION LETTER and email it along with the PASSPORT copy (only the page containing your PHOTO) in jpeg / gif format and all questions/concerns regarding your visa application process to Katsutoshi Yoshida.
Duration of an Invitation Letter process - 2-3 weeks.

2. APPLY FOR VISA

When you receive an invitation letter, submit your VISA application at the Japanese Embassy or any Japanese Consulate in your country.
